I’m Leah Pardee, co-host of the Bare Naked Soul podcast and founder of Clothed In Praise.

When I found myself wanting to praise Jesus by wearing clothes that promote Him, I just couldn’t find what I was looking for.

You see, I believe that God cares deeply for the well-being and justice of all people, so it’s important to me to mostly (I am not perfect) purchase clothing that has been made ethically.

Years ago, I learned about the unsafe working conditions, ridiculously long hours, unlivable wages, unpaid required overtime, and even child and slave labor in the fashion industry. I was appalled.

I made a point to start thrifting and just shopping less in general. I am not perfect, but I like to avoid supporting this type of injustice as much as possible.

One day, in quiet time with Jesus, He gave me a vision of creating an ethical Christian clothing company.

I thought “this must already exist, and if it does I’ll just support someone else’s company”. That weekend I searched and searched, but couldn’t find styles I liked in the very few companies like this out there.

So, I followed the call, and Clothed In Praise was born!

My promise to you is to be fully transparent about the brands I use and how they source their clothing. I will continually search for the best possible brands to use, based on the certifications their manufacturing facilities have achieved, holding them to fair labor standards.

I also donate 100% of profits to one of my favorite charities – Convoy of Hope. I retain just a small fraction of total proceeds to cover our minimal operating costs.
